A pondless waterfall is less maintenance then a koi pond but does require some general upkeep to keep it looking and functioning its best. While some prefer to take care of their pondless waterfall themselves, others sign up for some sort of regular mainteance. Yes, while a pondless waterfall is much easier to take care of then a pond some general maintenance is required. Debris such as leaves and sticks must be removed occasionally from the stream. Algae may grow on the rocks and need to be scrubbed off from time to time. If you are located in or around Charlotte, NC we can help take care of your water feature!

Can I keep a small pool in my reservoir?
Although it may be possible to have a small pool at the bottom of your waterfall in your reservoir it is not recommended. The small pool at the bottom can cause excess algae growth.
Do I need to turn off my waterfall in the winter?
No, here in Charlotte, NC we recommend keeping your water feature on all year round.
How often do I need to get a clean out?
Every pondless waterfall is different and some may not need to have a clean out as much as others. In generally we recommend having a clean out once a year in order to have it looking and functioning it's best.
