The Vision
This Waxhaw homeowner in Encore at Streamside wanted to add natural beauty and relaxation to their backyard. They needed a water feature that would make a lasting impression, visible from the front door and beautifully lit at night. The homeowner also wanted to preserve their existing lawn during construction and establish a thriving ecosystem from day one.
The Transformation
We built a backyard pond using large natural boulders to create a stunning multi-tier waterfall. We positioned the pond to be visible through the home’s windows, creating a welcome view that draws visitors from the front door straight to the backyard. We carefully protected the lawn throughout construction to maintain the surrounding landscape. Strategic lighting creates a mesmerizing nighttime display that’s visible from inside the home. We stocked the pond with fish and aquatic plants that established quickly. In its first year, the ecosystem is already thriving with blooming yellow lilies and clear, balanced water. The homeowners now enjoy the calming sounds of cascading water from their patio and the visual impact of a natural oasis every time they arrive home.
