The Vision
Our display pond outside Pike Nurseries in Ballantyne had an intake bay pulling water down through the bottom, creating a current that collected floating debris at the end of the pond for us to net out during visits. It worked exactly how it was supposed to, but between services debris would collect and sit visible. We wanted the pond looking its best at all times for customers visiting the nursery.
The Transformation
We added an Aquascape skimmer that sits at the waterline on the side of the pond and pulls from the top 2 inches of the water’s surface. The skimmer hides all collected debris inside a concealed basket tucked behind a fake rock. The result is the same clean, functioning pond with none of the visible mess between visits. The pond now stays presentable for Pike’s Nursery customers while still collecting debris just as effectively as the original intake bay.
