The Vision
Twenty years ago, a hardscaper built a pond in this South Park backyard. After two decades, the pond developed a leak that slowly drained the water. When we attempted to locate it, we discovered mortar had been applied directly over the liner, making it nearly impossible to find the source. The original pond also sat distant from the patio, more of a landscape feature to admire from afar than a functional outdoor living space.
The Transformation
Rather than continue searching for the leak, we proposed a complete redesign. We relocated the pond closer to the patio and incorporated beautiful natural boulders we discovered scattered throughout the property to create a truly custom ecosystem. The new pond transforms the space into a functional gathering area instead of a distant landscape feature.
