The Vision
This Weddington homeowner had a barren hill behind their house and decided to do a full backyard makeover. They wanted an outdoor space with a fire pit where they could entertain guests, and road noise from behind the house disrupted the ambiance. They needed a design that would transform the unused space into a gathering area while blocking out the unwanted sound.
The Transformation
We designed and constructed a flagstone patio island completely surrounded by cascading waterfalls that flow into the water basin below. We placed natural seating boulders along the patio’s edge to invite family and friends to gather around the fire boulder centerpiece. The combination of flickering firelight, flowing water, and natural stone craftsmanship creates a luxury retreat perfect for year-round enjoyment. The sound of the waterfalls drowns out road noise, transforming the backyard into an unforgettable entertainment space where fire and water unite.
