Don't See Your Area?

We primarily serve the Charlotte metro area and surrounding communities, but don’t let distance stop you from reaching out. While the towns listed above represent our most frequent project locations, we regularly travel beyond these areas for the right opportunities. If you’re located further out or even in a neighboring state, contact us anyway. We’ll accommodate your project or connect you directly with a trusted contractor in your region who shares our standards for quality and service.

Frequently Asked Questions?

How far outside Charlotte do you travel?

For maintenance services, we cover the greater Charlotte area from Lake Norman to Waxhaw, Lake Wylie to Mooresville. For installations and construction, we can go anywhere depending on travel costs. We recently completed a project near Asheville, and we’ve even built ponds as far as Florida.

Do you charge travel fees?

Travel fees depend on your location and project scope. We’ll discuss any additional costs upfront during your initial consultation so there are no surprises.

Can you work on properties outside city limits?

Yes. Many of our projects on rural properties provide more space for expansive features. These clients often have room for larger installations, and some even get recreational ponds with liner bottoms that you can fish, kayak, and swim in like any other pond, but with much cleaner water due to the advanced biological filtration systems we install.

How quickly can you start a project in my location?

Project timelines depend on our current schedule and your project scope. Most installations begin within 2-4 weeks of design approval. We’ll provide a specific timeline during your consultation.

Do you have references in my area?

We’ve completed projects throughout the Charlotte region. During your consultation, we can show you completed features in your area or connect you with past clients to hear their experience.

Does My Yard Need to be a Certain Size?

Pond and water feature size depends on available space and your vision. We’ve built small fountainscapes in compact yards and large ecosystem ponds on multi-acre properties. During consultation, we assess your space and recommend features that fit naturally.

Will my property type affect installation?

Different properties have different considerations. Sloped terrain is ideal for waterfalls. Flat yards work well for ponds with gentle streams. Wooded areas provide natural shade. Rocky soil requires different excavation than clay. We adapt our approach to your specific property conditions.

Do I need special permits for my area?

Permit requirements vary by municipality and property type. Some areas require permits for water features, others don’t. We guide you through local requirements during consultation and handle necessary paperwork.

Which part of my yard works best for a water feature?

The best location depends on visibility, sunlight, and utilities. You want to see and hear your feature from main living areas. Partial shade helps control algae. We avoid underground utilities and ensure proper drainage. During consultation, we walk your property to identify the optimal spot.

Can I install a water feature near trees?

Yes, but location matters. Some tree coverage provides beneficial shade, but too close means constant debris and root interference. We typically recommend placing ponds at least 10 feet from large trees and can install netting systems to manage seasonal leaf fall.

What if I’m not sure where I want my water feature?

That’s normal. Most clients have a general idea but aren’t certain about the exact spot. During the paid design consultation, we walk your property together, discuss sightlines and usage patterns, and recommend locations based on your goals and site conditions.
