The Vision
This Weddington homeowner had a simple backyard patio with a fire pit. They wanted to transform the standard outdoor space into a vibrant oasis where the whole family could enjoy the sights and sounds of nature while maintaining their gathering area for family and friends.
The Transformation
We built a water garden and koi pond filled with cascading water, colorful koi, and lush aquatic plants that bring the landscape to life. The pond integrates seamlessly with the existing patio and fire pit, creating a perfect gathering place that blends relaxation with natural beauty. Crystal-clear water showcases the koi gliding gracefully through the pond, and the soothing atmosphere transforms the backyard into a retreat the whole family enjoys.
The Pond Guy Visits 3 years later!!!
Three years after the build, Greg Wittstock, The Pond Guy on YouTube, visited and was impressed by how naturally the pond has matured. Native grasses and low ground cover filled the space as part of the Pacific Northwestern landscaping theme, and the tiered stream and layered waterfall continue to flow beautifully, showcasing the lasting quality and expert craftsmanship.
